Southern Conference Basketball Tournament - March
The Southern Conference is the nation's fifth-oldest NCAA Division I collegiate athletic association. Current league members are Appalachian State, College of Charleston, The Citadel, Davidson, Elon, Furman, Georgia Southern, UNC Greensboro, Samford, Chattanooga, Western Carolina and Wofford.
Biltmore Blooms - March & April
Enjoy the beauty of this annual flower festival set across 2.5 miles of paths through gardens, forest, and of course, flowers. Designed by renowned landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted, you'll enjoy taking in the beautiful views.
Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands - July & October
For four days each July and October, the US Cellular Center in Asheville comes alive with fine traditional and contemporary crafts. Over 200 craftspeople fill the two levels of the center selling their works of clay, fiber, glass, leather, metal, mixed media, natural materials, paper, wood, and jewelry.
Brewgrass Festival - September
Each year on the third Saturday of September, visitors and residents alike enjoy live music and beers from over 50 local breweries. North Carolina has become a major destination for craft beer tasting, and you'll find the best of the best at this annual festival.
The Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit - October
A 3-day music festival held in downtown Asheville. The festival features world-class musical performances by many of the greatest artists in contemporary music, along with talks, seminars, and panels by artists and others; interactive experiences for audiences; art installations and exhibitions and more.
Christmas at Biltmore - November & December
George Vanderbilt introduced his new home to family and friends on Christmas Eve 1895 with a grand celebration that we continue today.
